Hurting, alone, confused in the fog? FAMILY and FRIENDS CONFERENCE San Rafael, CA September 20, 2008

Finding FREEDOM from Homosexuality

"Born Anew to a Living Hope"

NEW HOPE MINISTRY is a CHRIST-CENTERED MINISTRY designed to help people struggling with homosexuality leave their past lifestyle and to fully EMBRACE THEIR TRUE IDENTITY IN JESUS CHRIST.

New Hope has two principle goals:

  • To Rescue
  • To Prepare a Place

To rescue means to present the Truth to all who will listen. It means to nurture those who will surrender to the will of the Lord Jesus Christ, befriending them and pointing the way to change.

To prepare a place means to educate the Church on how to meet the needs of those making such a life altering decision. We do this through special seminars for counselors and Christian workers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area or by special arrangement anywhere God calls us.

Is it OK to be Gay and Christian?

New Hope upholds God's standard of righteousness and holiness which declares homosexuality is sin, but also affirms that His love and redemptive power are able to bring wholeness and restoration to the entire individual, including his or her sexuality.

              How We Began

Anita and Frank WorthenNew Hope Ministries is the continuation of the work of Frank and Anita Worthen. The work began way back in 1973 when Frank, at 44 years old, recommitted his life to Jesus Christ. Over the next few years he founded Love In Action (LIA), one of the largest and oldest ex-gay ministries in the world. He was also one of the founding fathers of Exodus International North America in 1976, now a world-wide umbrella ministry setting the standard for all ministries helping homosexuals walk free through the power of Jesus Christ.

Over the past 30 years, Frank has appeared on countless radio and television shows including the 700 Club, James Dobson's Focus on the Family and the Phil Donahue Show discussing moral orientation and gender, gay men, sex addition, homosexuality born vs. learned, and related topics. In addition, Frank has written several books including "Helping People Step Out of Homosexuality".

              Transformation Stories

Both Anita and Frank's testimonies are available for you to read online.

              New Hope's Radio Show

May 2008 sees the relaunch of New Hope's weekly radio show Hope for Freedom, which reaches seven cities in the South and Mid-West. During the show, Frank and Anita Worthen present testimony, teachings and answers to questions that provide a message of hope for those struggling with homosexuality and also for their loved ones...parents, spouses, family members and friends.

              Help For You

New Hope Ministries offers a three-month Residential Program, a one-week Steps Out Retreat and Men's Support Group in the San Francisco Bay Area for those struggling with homosexuality. We can also refer you to other support groups for your area of need.

              Help For Others

Homosexuality affects more than just the individual concerned. We also extend a helping hand to the families of those struggling with homosexuality. Our 9th Annual Family & Friends Conference will be held on September 20, 2008, with guest speaker Mary Heathman of Where Grace Abounds ministry in Denver, Colorado.
