What is Steps Out?

At New Hope Ministries we do not view homosexuality as an inborn, unchangeable fact of life or as a viable alternative lifestyle. Instead, we believe that God's love and redemptive power are able to bring restoration to the entire individual, including their sexuality. The Steps Out Residential Program began in 1977 and ran each year until 2004.

Since 2004, we have not run a full-time program. Instead, twice yearly we run a much shorter Steps Out Retreat which is an intensive 7-day program based on Frank Worthen's popular workbook Helping People Step Out of Homosexuality.
