Drop-In Support Group for Men

“Born Anew to a Living Hope”

Golden Gate Bridge

              What is the Support Group?

NEW HOPE offers a drop-in support group for men in the San Francisco Bay Area. NEW HOPE’s founder, Frank Worthen, personally guides and directs this program with the wisdom and insight gained from 30 years experience ministering to those with a homosexual struggle.

Who is welcome to the group?

All people, regardless of religion, who struggle with homosexuality, whether acting out their desires or struggling with homosexual temptation, and who earnestly desire to overcome their homosexuality, or are interested in knowing about change are welcome to attend the group.

Straight (heterosexual) companions, friends, relatives, pastors, etc. may enter into our time of worship, but must leave before any group sharing begins.

              What the group offers

New Hope is Christ-centered. We offer you CHRISTIAN fellowship. You do not have to be a Christian to attend, but you must understand that we present Jesus Christ as the answer to the homosexual problem.

              Interested?

First, call our office at (415) 453-6475 for directions and the address of the meeting place.

Drop-in meetings are held the first Friday night of every month at 7:30 P.M. Plan to spend two to two and half hours in the meeting. Meetings begin with a half-hour of worship (singing Christian songs), followed by an opportunity for sharing (accountability), and then a teaching and prayer time. The meeting ends with refreshments and informal conversation.

These meetings are not a gay social club, New Hope reserves the right to ask any attendee to leave the group if they have not come seeking change. Attendees are asked to respect the desire for change in the lives of the members and make no attempts to seduce or tempt another member. If you live too far away from the San Rafael area, call us and we will try to find a group nearer to you.
